Compare Driving Instructors is an independent comparison and information site covering manual and automatic lessons, intensive courses, post-test training and instructor qualifications across the UK. We’re not a driving school ourselves — our aim is to give honest, plain-English explanations of the options available, including genuine trade-offs, so you can have a more informed conversation with a DVSA-registered instructor.

Anyone charging for driving lessons in the UK must legally be on the DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) register, shown by a green badge, or be a supervised trainee (PDI) shown by a pink badge — we always recommend checking this before booking any lessons.
