- St Johns Road / industrial estateMove off safely, check both pavements and read estate markings.
- A690 corridorBuild speed appropriately, keep safe following distance and plan lane position early.
- Brandon LaneWatch changing limits, side roads, buses and parked vehicles.
- Lowland Road areaPractise meeting traffic, clearance, hill control and effective observations.
- Return towards MeadowfieldUse mirrors before speed changes and identify the correct approach lane.
Watch for: vehicles emerging from industrial entrances, pedestrians near bus stops, limit changes, lane choice and hidden driveways.

- Shincliffe approachAdjust for bends, narrower sections and changing visibility.
- Return via the A690Choose lanes early, hold a stable speed and leave a safe gap.
Watch for: multi-lane approaches, bus lanes and signs, vulnerable road users, speed-limit transitions and meeting traffic.
How to use these routes well
Drive with an approved instructor or a qualified supervising driver in a suitable, insured vehicle. Ask your passenger to manage navigation. Do not use a handheld phone while driving.
